August Quarterly – Wilmington Riverfront

The August Quarterly is the oldest African American religious festival in the nation. This weeklong celebration of religious freedom, freedom of speech, and the right to assembly culminates on Sunday, August 28th with a Sunday Service at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in the morning and the August Quarterly Festival in Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park on Sunday afternoon. The festival features music, singing, performances on two stages, storytelling, children’s activities, arts and crafts, books, African clothing, food vendors, and more.
