Over the weekend, DNREC announced a virtual Public Hearing to hear from citizens with concerns about the Delaware Electric Car Mandate. The public hearing is a required step in the process of adopting new regulations. The process allows Delawareans to submit comments. In the recent past, the number of public comments can generate pressure on state regulators to reconsider moving forward with unpopular regulations.

Wednesday, April 26, 2023 6:00 pm – Public Hearing: Low Emission Vehicle Program
The DNREC Division of Air Quality will hold a public hearing (Docket #2022-R-A-0011) regarding amendments to regulation 7 DE Admin. Code 1140 – Delaware’s Low Emission Vehicle Program.
Make a Public Comment:
Tell the Governor and the Regulators at DNREC what you think. The public comment period is open from now through May 26, 2023.
We support Electric Vehicles but oppose the Government Mandate on auto dealers. Low-income, small businesses, and people living where public transportation is limited are disproportionately affected. We wanted the regulators to stop the mandate and reconsider the mandate.
